April Robin in May

Here we are well into May and I haven't finished April Robin yet. But I'm closer!

April Robin, from Button Up Birdies 3, by Cathy Jean

All that's left is the top branches and leaves, so it won't be long.

It feels so appropriate to be stitching this robin in honor of the robins who have a nest every year under my deck and raise one or two sets of babies each spring/summer. To date the eggs have been laid and mama is on the nest.

Have a beautiful day!

What a very pretty stitch!! We had Juncos with a nest on our deck last summer. It was such fon to watch them hatch and then watch the babies grow. It did mark the end of a hanging basket! You can't water baby birds.

What a sweet robin. They are always so cheerful.

Thanks for visiting. These HAEDs are dense but much easier to stitch than you would think and such fun.

Isn't he cute!! Robins are such funny birds. We have one here who keeps attacking his reflection in our window all day long. We've put up paper against the window thinking it would help, but he still does it!
