Not One, But Two

Ending the month of March on a high note here as I have just finished TWO projects. For most of you with high-powered needles, that's nothing to crow about, but it's been awhile since I've had any of those. :)

First up is Quaker Inspiration by The Lacey Thread

And I've finished the March bird in the Button-Up Birdies series by Cathy Jean for The Victoria Sampler.

Then I put a few stitches on April's birdie, the robin.

Our son Kevin is back in Cheney starting spring quarter. It was so good to have him home last week and get him to help me with a few chores. This week is Kyle's spring break from CBC and I'm hoping to rope him into helping me with a few things. Kirsten is also on break and is up in Spokane with a friend, visiting the campus of Whitworth College. Not that she'll be attending there, but it's always good to look at a variety of schools. Her birthday is this week, so I'm sure she'll come up with ideas to keep me busy.

So until next time, thanks for stopping by On the Dry Side!

Lovely finishes :-)
I'm not a very quick stitcher either, I'm always left wondering how people manage to stitch so quickly, perhaps there is a knack that we don't know about, lol

Sounds like you are very, very busy with your children coming and going! So glad you get time to yourself to stitch--both finishes are lovely, especially the sweet bird :)

Beautif finishes! Like you, I don't feel like a very speedy stitcher and it has been a while since I've had a size able finish.
It's great to have the "kids" home, isn't it!?

Lovely finishes! I do not have one of those "high powered needles", either. But, I am always on the lookout in case someone drops theirs! : )

Both finishes look just lovely. You are so busy with your family,That's great. I hope they do help! There is so much yard work here this time of year. I'm hoping to spend tomorrow outside as no rain is predicted.

Beautiful finishes! And like Maggie said - I wonder how some people stitch so quickly as well. Of course, it doesn't help that I am easily distracted.

Two projects finished in one month sounds wonderful to me! I think that's about what I managed to stitch in all of 2013! :) Hopefully this year will be better....Danielle (The Peacock's Feather)

So great to see the Quaker piece finished. It's so beautiful. And the little birdie so sweet. Since you showed it on your blog the first time all these lovely bird charts have been on my wishlist.
