Something Different

After working solely on Quaker Inspirations for quite awhile, I decided to set it aside for a bit and work on that sweet little bird. It's coming together pretty quickly.

Designs by Cathy Jean, Button-Up Birdies #3
But I have stitched on the Quaker too!

What I really need to do next is get myself to the craft store and buy a few frames for some of the finishes that I have pinned to the finish board.

I need some bell pull hardware too. :)

There's a track meet this afternoon in Walla Walla, so I'll be out the door shortly! Thanks for visiting today!

Goodness, look at all the goodies on your finish board. I was doing that for awhile... Love the new little red bird!

What a pretty tulip header! Wow, you have so many pretty designs waiting to be framed!

Oh my I haven't thought to pin my samplers till they get all made up as a finish. Now you got me thinking -lol. Love your new little bird wip. Yes sometimes we need to rotate stitching on our projects. I certainly do that myself.
love Annette

So nice to see you stitch on that lovely little bird pattern. I think I'll have to have one of two of these button-up birdies, too.
Your Quaker project will soon be finished. Nice progress.

CUTE bird!!! Spring is definitely in the air.

I like your corkboard display - at least they're not sitting in a drawer like mine are! I really have to do some finishing. I have a stash of F&S exchanges, and a bunch of unframed pieces I've stitched.

I've had VERY good luck ordering custom frames from American Frame. They will send you samples of frames and mats before you order, and I'm usually able to frame at least 4 or 5 pieces for what it would cost me to frame 1 at someplace like Michaels (even with coupons). Let me know if you want some more information, and if you check my blog, most of my framed pieces were done with American Frames.

I adore those little Button-Up Birdies. I've stitched one twice, but need to stitch my others...

Great idea to hang your finishes up like that. I should do that rather than hiding them in a dark crowded drawer. I'm good about finishing my smalls, but horrible about getting things framed :)

Love the idea of pinning finishes to a board. I wonder if I could find a board big enough for all mine though!!

Lovely finish and sweet bird.
