Birthday Boy and More Quaker Inspiration

This boy turns 4 years old today! He's Knox, my 4th grandchild. What a jolly, happy-go-lucky little guy he is! God really brightened our lives the day he was born.  We'll be spending some time at his house tonight celebrating.

The Olympics are over, but I'm not yet finished with Quaker Inspiration. That pesky habit of watching tv while playing games on the Kindle instead of stitching is proving to be problematic. What is it about screens??

Now that I'm about half way around the frame I'm quite liking the color choices and will be ripping out the golden element at the top. I love that golden floss, but this just isn't the right project for it.

On Saturday DH and I drove up to Yakima to install a vertical blind at our office there. Our manager mentioned to me that her office was a bit exposed to the traffic and she'd feel better if there was a blind on the window for privacy. So I took some measurements and headed over to the Home Depot here at home. I found something I liked, priced it and got approval and got it ordered. The blind fits just right and looks great. Now we need to get back to hang some artwork and measure for a couple of area rugs. We'll get that place looking spiffy. :)

Well, I have some presents to wrap for a sweet little guy. Thanks for spending time here today!

I hope you had a wonderful birthday celebration on your grandson's birthday. They are so sweet at that age. What do I say - at any age, lol.
Great progress on your piece. I love those colours.
