A Very Nice Day

I hope all you moms had a delightful Mother's Day, as I did. Overall it was pretty quiet with just the five home-bound kids here. DH bought chicken for dinner and we all actually sat at the table together, something that doesn't happen that often. The kids did do a bit of clean up around the house, and even did the dishes. And as promised in my previous post, I stitched a little and watched Deadliest Catch. :D

I finished the stitching for the Count Your Blessings scissor case, with just a bit more to do for the outline. I'm not sure what I'll go on to next, perhaps work on Quaker Study for a bit.

In the evening after church, Kirsten brought me a picture she made.

She said it represented the scissors that the kids had pooled some money for and ordered for Mother's Day. Aw, wasn't that nice?! Can't wait to see which ones they chose.

Beautiful stitching on your scissor case. The picture reminds me of the Dovo Rainbow scissors -- so colorful : )

I love your scissors case. And it sounds like you had a great Mother's Day - dinner and having everyone at the table is such a great thing (doesn't happen much around here either). And the picture of the scissors is adorable! Can't wait to see what they got you!
