SBQs

It's been quite awhile since I've answered these, so I'll try to catch up a little today.

Today's SBQ was suggested by Carol http://carolsxsblog.blogspot.com/">http://carolsxsblog.blogspot.com
and is:

Do you collect charts by one particular designer, yet have never stitched anything by that designer? If so, which designer and why do you collect the charts but have not yet stitched any of them?

Probably the nearest thing I have to a collection of charts would be those of Victoria Sampler, but I have stitched several of Thea's designs and have more ready to go whenever I'm ready for them.

What is your favorite specialty stitch? Which one is your least favorite? Why?

Well, if I have to pick, I suppose I will say that my favorite embroidery stitches are pulled thread stitches - most anything that puts a hole in the fabric. Least favorite might be, hmmmmm, (time elapsing here) nope, don't have one.

Lately, it seems that many stitching bloggers have experienced a loss of their stitching mojo. Have you ever lost your stitching mojo? If so, how did you get it back and how long did it take?

Sure I've lost my stitching mojo! Sometimes life just brings other things along for a time. Usually tho, the desire to stitch will always return when the leaves begin to fall from the trees. Must be connected with the shorter days and the urge to hibernate, lol!

The first request comes from Vash
http://seasidestitcher.blogspot.com who is requesting pictures of the back of your stitching… are you brave enough to give this one a shot?

Well, here is the back of my Blue Carnations (Victoria Sampler). Certainly not one of my neatest efforts.

The second request comes from Singular Stitches http://singularstitches.blogspot.com, and she is asking for "a pictorial tour of [the] special place that you go to create your wonderful stitched creations."

A few months ago, I posted a picture of my stitching chair, but have moved it to the other side of the room for awhile. You will notice my foot massager. It feels really good after I've been on my feet for a long while and also serves as a foot rest so my feet aren't dangling as the chair is just a little big for me. The fabric covering the little side table covers lots of projects and stuff too, lol!

On Saturday I posted a picture of my sewing area which is in the daylight basement family room. In a few weeks, I'll be posting new pics of that area too as we'll be remodeling the family room a bit.

Whew, have you changed your blog template? I'm getting a very weird display here on Explorer.

Hi Von: DITTO from Barbara's comment. Good answers to the SBQs.

Hard to find time for blogging when the children are around. Tho I do enjoy their company : ) Stitiching is really 'back burner' for the Summer Vacation time!!

Your stitching chair looks so comfortable - and a foot massager - hmmmm, me thinks that would be really swell!

The back of your Blue Carnations looks just fine, Von! Band samplers are a whole other animal when it comes to the backs. Your stitching area looks very comfy, especially with the foot massager. :)
