Bunco Winner!

Last night was my Bunco night and I won first place and even got two buncos. It's been months since I've thown any buncos! Nina, our hostess, had potted plants for all the winners. My bunco pot is the one in the middle planted with a geranium and lots of other flowers all around.

The other two pots were made by my twins at Cadets yesterday - for Mother's Day. They made some cute cards to go along with that will definitely have to go into my keepsake box - the cards are sooooooo 12-yo boy!

The other landscaping bid came in on Wednesday and was so good, we can add some of the patio work that we were thinking we'd have to do ourselves - yay! We'll get started the first week of June.

In the meantime, I'm taking great pleasure in my half-started rose garden. I began last summer with a big hole and about ten tiny little rose plants - own-root roses I bought at a nursery near Portland, Oregon. I'm really happy with the way they are growing. (Pic of same area last fall)

The bushes have lots of buds and will soon be blooming - I can hardly wait!!

Nice pots, Von, but I need to ask ... what's a "bunco"?

Lovely flowers Von! I like the way your rose garden is coming on - great minds must think alike as I posted some before and after garden pictures yesterday ;)

Lovely flowers and plants. I need to seriously think about my yard, but it has been so cool here that I just haven't done much work outside yet. The weeds seem to be growing fine without any help from me, though!! LOL.

What a great bunch of flowers you've gotten, from your Bunco win and the twins. Very sweet! :) I hope you had a wonderful mother's day!
