I just had to log on and tell you that my husband has bought me a new computer. I thought perhaps he'd buy a new laptop for his business use and I'd inherit his old one, but no! It's a cute little Compaq Presario V2401 CL notebook series. So it's a little smaller, easier to tote around the house, lots faster, and has a gorgeous widescreen!!
My poor old darlin' was working off and on. We had a lovely day on Friday; Saturday she appeared to be dead again. DH is still hoping to resurrect it, but now I have something I can rely on!

Congrats on the new "baby" Von. Hope you will enjoy this one lots!
Ah, getting a new computer is always a joy and a drama... We seem to get so attached to the old thing even when they don't work ;)
I like Compaq presario too, I have the desktop version, it's good computers ;)
Oh that's great! Your DH's a sweetie.
My first laptop was a Compaq and it worked great. Never had a breakdown! I only had to change it because the processor was getting too slow for me (it was a Compaq Armada, the most basic one, made around 1995).
Congratulations and have fun setting up everything as you like :)
GREAT! Your DH is a sweetie! I'm very happy for you. Say goodbye to the old one, it's just a machine, you won't regret it long...
Take care, Von!
Bless his heart! What a thoughtful guy!
What a wonderful hubby! I have a compaq presario desktop and prefer it over my gateway laptop.
WOOHOO, what a sweet hubby :)
Enjoy it, Von :)
hi mom, i'm so happy you got a new
computer, it's a nice one!!
Woohoo, you got a new computer - yippee!! At least you'll have workable technology at your fingertips again ... I hate it when computers don't behave themselves ;) Way to go DH!! :))
Von, so nice to have "met" you on my blog, and thank you for the well wishes. DH's can really be the berries at times, can't they? Mine bought me a new Dell (not a notebook), and it's a dandy! I'm so glad you got something you're enjoying so much.
I'll take a look at your blog now that I've discovered you. It amazes me how many blogging stitchers there are that I'm just now meeting.
