The Snow Object Has Fallen

Yesterday when the boys were finished with schoolwork, they played in the snow and built a snow "object", definitely not a snowman! They really didn't have an idea of what they wanted, so they just piled the snow up until it reached about 6.5 feet tall. Unfortunately, it came down - we know not how. Perhaps the mischievous neighbor boys were the culprits? Maybe the temperature just warmed to the point that it toppled the obelisk. It's currently 42 degrees F. so the snow will soon melt away, but hope rises in the children that it will snow again and another object will be raised!

This morning I've been baking cinnamon loaves. Our church sponsors the Confection Selection fund raiser each year for the local pregnancy center, and the loaves will be my contribution. Actually, this is just the first batch. It's times like this when I wish I'd done a little more with my kitchen remodel a couple of years ago and installed a double oven! I could bake the same amount in so much less time. Ah well, next time.

The last couple of evenings I've been working away at my ornament to exchange at the SAGA Christmas party on Sunday. I'm doing a double-sided hardanger ornie that I think is turning out quite nice. Picture will be posted in a couple of days.

I will sign off for now with a couple of pics of my grandsons I took this week. They didn't come to my house yesterday as everyone was suffering from a cold, so Nana felt a little abandoned!

I found my way here from Barbara's blog. The grandbabies are sooo cute, and you've made me really want some warm cinnamon bread.
I'm glad to hear about support for a local crisis pregancy center. I used to volunteer as a counselor in one here in Baltimore. They sure do depend on generous donations!

Oh boy, your grandkids are just too adorable! And I'm drooling here just imaginating what the smell of those cinnamon loaves are like ... yummo! Do you reckon Customs would let it through if you snuck one in an envelope for me? LOL.

I didn't have much during lunch today and now that I'm at your blog seeing the cinnamon loaves just make my stomach growls. Luckily I work in a hotel and after leaving this comment, I'm going to our Bistro to get something to eat. Or should I wait till I get home since its already 4.24pm now. Decision, decision...
