SBQ: Stitching Blogs

Today's SBQ isn't about stitching: It is about blogging and was suggested by AngelSan (http://angelsan.free.fr/blog.php ).

Take a minute to reflect on your blog reading habits and preferences. What do you prefer to read in stitching blogs? (Progress, tips, family life, experiences, etc.)

Those of us on the Stitching Bloggers Ring are stitchers, but so much more! I love reading about everyone's WIPs, HDs, dilemmas, and seeing the pictures, but I also enjoy getting to know everyone and taking a peek into their lives. I do not enjoy reading blogs with vulgar language or topics, but I don't think that's been a problem with stitching blogs.

How much do you think you are influenced by other stitching bloggers?

I have been greatly influenced by other bloggers, receiving inspiration, tips, motivation, and encouragement! I feel I have a little more accountability in my own blog to get on with some projects. Then I can share with others my progress as they have shared their own with me. I've learned more about rotating projects from so many bloggers and think that might be something I should try! And I look forward to the day when I can participate in some of the wonderful exchanges with other stitchers.

Hi Von! Yes, indeed, I have also been motivated to stitch a bit more diligently now that I'm blogging. A sort of pleasant sense of responsibility to do a good job.

Hiya Von! Its so nice to visit your Blog - I just love your sampler which looks just my type of project ;-) I have enjoyed reading all your latest activities in the lead-up to Christmas - I bet you must be rushed off your feet. Hey, still, if you can take some time-out to do some sewing it will recharge the batteries! I will think about your Stitching Question and put some of my ideas on my Blog soon! Take care Ali xx
