SBQ for Today

Today's "Stitching Blogger's Question" was suggested by Zohrah (http://xstitch.free.fr/zohrah13/) and is:

Have you done any charity stitching, been in one, or would like to organize one?

The only charity stitching I've been involved with is the Grady Gown project that my smocking guild participates in. Our guild constructs and smocks premie gowns that are donated to the Kadlec Medical Center's NICU. I have not been able to contribute much to this endeavor, although I do participate in all the sewing days when we have them and I do get a few smocked each year. My goal for 2006 is to smock at least one gown a month - that will be progress for me! And I'm hoping that I will be motivated to do more, but I have so many irons in the fire as it is that I will try to be content with twelve for the year.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The weather here has turned cold and tomorrow is to be colder still - but only down to about 20 degrees F. Not nearly as cold as so many other areas. If I could just convince my boys that they really should wear coats when they go out!
I've been getting a few stitches into one of M Designs Alphabets. It's been lots of fun but looks like I may have to call the Boise shop for some more TG Spring Rainbow silk floss! I may squeak through with just enough, so I won't call just yet.
Good luck with your floss supply and your coatless kids! It's a bit warmer here than where you are, but wet, wet, wet!
Thanks Barbara! I'm using my petite needles and stitching until I have only 1.5 inches of floss left! :)
This is coming from a mom who had a preemie in the NICU for 2 months...we really do appreciate all the clothing and blankets donated by people. It really does help. :)
I'm crossing my fingers and toes for you, that you don't run out of silk floss! :) It's such a pain when that happens!!
