Monday

Kevin and Kyle were invited to an ice skating birthday party this afternoon. It was kinda last minute, so we trooped off to Target this morning and found two games that we thought their friend would like, Risk and Backgammon. We got home and got the boys working on school, while I wrapped the gifts and made a couple of quick cards.

While they were at their party, I made six loaves of wheat bread. After I picked them up and returned home, I made six loaves of cinnamon bread - it's a start. I like to give cinnamon loaves away to neighbors, friends, and special teachers for Christmas - and my family likes to have some to enjoy as well. That's a lot of baking yet to do!!

I made a call to the Needlework Studio in Boise today to have them send me VS Jingle Bells Christmas Tree Farm with the acc pac and linen. I also had Nancy add another skein of The Thread Gatherer floss I need to finish the alphabet design I'm working on. There is just no way to make the skein cover all that design! It's been awhile since I've gotten stash in the mail - too much fun!

Kirsten wanted me to post this picture of her and her friend Kara - so here it is Kirsten!! Kara is on the left, Kirsten on the right. They were born six days apart and have been the best of friends since.

Your daughter is a cutie-pie! (And her friend, too.) Isn't it great watching your child bond with a friend? Makes me remember being that age.

You just whipped up those cards, did you? Wowsie, I wish I could do that. I love making cards, but it takes me an eternity!!

I agree with Barbara, those cards are great! Care to share any magic tips or tricks? :) Kirsten looks very cute in the photo; very happy, which is a great thing for a child to be!
