End of Rotation

I've really had a lot of fun with this rotation of Happy Birthday Sampler! Ending each short row is a little finish that makes it easy to set aside for a bit and do a chore, or wrap up the day, so I'm tempted to keep on stitching.

Here's the sweet little band I finished this morning.

This one consists of satin stitches top and bottom, cross stitches, Smyrna crosses, and Algerian eyelets. Nothing new there so it was a relaxing row to stitch.

I rolled the fabric up a little in the frame and found there is only a short section left of the sampler to stitch!

Of course, I'll have to finish off the hardanger section at the bottom, then attach all the beads - and then it'll be finished! But I decided to set it aside for awhile and continue on with another project in my bag. The little Daisy Sampler is almost finished and I'm thinking I'll get it out and done in the next couple of days.

We're getting a bit of a break in the heat today with a high of 90 degrees. It feels really good outside! The 100s will be making a comeback this weekend tho. Not complaining though - the cold, dark days of winter will be here soon enough, so I savor the sunshine. What I do like is college football back in full swing this weekend starting with games tonight and the Seahawks playing Oakland too. It'll be interesting to watch Marshawn Lynch running with a different team and playing against his old team.

Well, friends, my break is over and it's back to work! Have a great stitchy day!

That really is a delightful design. OK now I feel guilty for being so crabby about the weather! It will be fun to see Lynch! We are quite happy with the pre-season! We both like Jermain Kurse- hope they keep him.
