February - Year of Starts

It's February 17, the Year of Starts day for 2017. For this month I've chosen to pull a little chart out of the depths of my stash - Country Cottage Needleworks' "Daisy Sampler".

I'm using the called for DMC, but substituting WDW Scuppernog and Whiskey for the overdyed floss on the chart. The fabric is Cashel linen, flax. This is a sweet little design that speaks to me of the coming Spring!

I also started another little free design from Hands On Designs called L O V E.

This is on the same 36 ct. Creme Brulee linen as "Be Mine" using Northern Lights Silk in Fuschia, and I'm working the border in an unknown silk overdye from my stash.

Little Gideon is in NICU today (Friday), but it looks like he'll be able to go home tomorrow. His mom and dad are at a discharge class this afternoon. I'm curious to find out what they go over in this class.

Tonight Isaac and his parents are coming over. It's been a couple of weeks since our last visit with him since he's been sick with bronchitis and RSV.

Here's a pic his mom took on Valentine's Day. How sweet is that little guy!

I'm really looking forward to a quiet weekend, holding my grandbabies and getting in some stitching. I hope you have a great stitchy weekend too!

I like both of your new stitch pieces, but the thread you are using for the Love piece is striking!

Cute projects.
That CC design is an oldie, but a goodie, a great design for Spring.
Little Issac is so cute in that T-shirt. :)
