April/August

Well, stitching time has been curtailed a bit lately what with life and everything. A few stitches were put in and a little progress made on the two Joyful World SAL pieces I have going on.

Since these are pieces I'm currently working on, the creases are everywhere and it's hard to get a good picture, but you get the idea of my progress. I really want to get at least one of these finished asap so I can start the "A Moment in Chalk" project I just bought. Incentive.

But I have a lot of other things demanding my time. Monday evening we unexpectedly had to go shopping for a new washer/dryer set as my washer went kaput on me. I could take some time and call a repairman, but for all the laundry that little Frigidaire has done over the years, it's time for a new one. And for the first time I'm getting a matched set! Woot! Of course, this had to happen when I'm getting ready to pack up the trailer for a long weekend at the beach and laundry is part of that process. Guess I'll just do it at the RV park in Ocean Park, lol!

By the way, the wind did kick up Tuesday, the nearby fire was contained, and the sky is looking better. And the high was only 81 degrees! It felt really good.

I do love those little SAL pieces. Oh my goodness, I am so glad to hear the fire is contained. It's stressful from now until the Fall rains. I hope you and your family have a wonderful time at the beach, even if it rains a bit. Our coffee pot died a few days ago along with my blow dryer a week ago. Very inconvenient, sorry to hear about the washer and dryer, at least you will be getting a matching pair!
