Garden Clean-up

Saturday was a gorgeous day and I escaped the laundry room to get outside, enjoy the sun, and begin the spring garden clean up.

The lawn bags are piling up. I was able to fill five bags yesterday, added to the thirteen that Kyle filled over his spring break, equals a lot of leaves for such a small lot.

This morning my backside is telling me that I did work yesterday!

But there's so much more to take up.

Have a great Sunday!

Thank you for your kind thoughts and message on my blog. I am very envious of your gardening, I can't wait to do mine.. the egg colouring looked fun.

Ugh. I know, it is never ending, isn't it? I filled two 10 gallon buckets full of garden waste. I have lots and lots to go, but that is what I can manage at a time without making my pain shoot way up.

We started yesterday and will continue today when the weather cooperates. Gratefully there isn't too much to clean as we were doing a lot of cleaning last autumn already. Somehow it's great to prepare the garden for spring although I don't love the work itself but the effect, lol.

Nice to be able to get outside! We had more snow last night--what an up and down spring we're having here in the east...

We came back from Spain last year and bought a small two bed house that is about three years old.
The garden isn't very big but the previous owner did nothing whatever with it. It had thigh high thistles and grass when we took over. It's hard work but we are so enjoying making it our own.
I look forward to picking up some gardening hints and tips here :)
