Happy Leap Day!

February 29 only comes around every four years - too bad it had to be a Monday!

It wasn't a stellar stitching weekend, but I did manage to finish "You are so Loved" by Snowflower Diaries.

I did stray a little from the floss called for on the chart, using two overdyes from my stash for the light orange and the blue, the rest are DMC. The results are quite nice I think.

Since tomorrow is March 1, I got a small start on the March design for the Joyful World SAL - just not enough to post about.

But I did get in lots of time with some of my grandchildren, especially Knox who just turned 6!

What a funny little boy he is - just delightful! Right now he is loving Tom and Jerry cartoons and practically rolls with laughter. Saturday I took him shopping and he chose a new Ninjago lego set, after looking at every set in Toys R Us! Then we went to lunch at Panda Express since I was wanting him to try something other than a hamburger! He liked it, but was especially fond of the egg rolls. I think next time he'll just want egg rolls! We ended up at home to do a little watercolor painting, then let him watch Tom and Jerry before taking him home.

Friday morning I had Knox and Geneva for a couple of hours and they once again wanted to play at McDonalds for awhile, so we did that, then went to my place to chill. If the weather is good this Friday, I think we'll spend a bit of time outside.

Sunday was church, then I did some prep work at the office for my ESL classes Monday and Tuesday. Got home for a little bit before choir practice, then evening church. The Oscars were on television when I got home so watched the end of that while enjoying a little cheese and wine.

I hope you had a great weekend and a little fun on this Leap Day!

What a very cute little boy. Sounds like the two of you had a wonderful day! That Mc Donald's time sounds good for grandma. Gives you time to catch your breath. My back is really going to get a challenge when we visit the children . But so worth it, I can't wait. I love your little finish. It looks so cheerful!

What a precious smile and doesn't he look thrilled with his cake. Love your stitching and for sharing the site where you found the design. Have a great week.

Oh such a cute picture of your grandson!
Lovely finish! Had stitched that too twice, just have to finish it off into something.

A lovely finish that you have here. When I stitch small designs I always use leftover threads, DMC and overdyed threads, whatever my box holds. So the result is never the same as on the design but always a bit different. I love your version.
How wonderful that you have so much fun with your grandkids. And they with you :))

Sounds like you've been having lots of fun times.
Lovely finish.
I've yet to pull fabric/threads for the March SAL, am way behind this month already with lots of stuff, blog reading included.... feeling bit like the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland lol
