Afternoon at the Fort

After a beautiful weekend, Monday was blustery and cool. Rather than spend time skim boarding, the kids opted to drive down to Warrenton and visit Fort Stevens State Park. Several years have gone by since our last visit. There are lots of great spots to walk around and imagine this fort during the Civil War or WWI filled with soldiers and activity.

Tuesday morning was a typical drippy beach morning and time to pack it all up and drive back to the heat. Another year will soon pass and we'll be back for another visit to the Long Beach peninsula.

Great pictures of your time away from home. How fun that your family goes away together once a year.
Hope Melanie will show us her seascape.

Thanks for stopping by Von. Nice to catch up with your posts! Love the fort photos.
I just read that you live in the Tri Cities. My niece and her husband with their children moved there a couple of years ago. They live in Richland.
