Do any of you keep track of what kinds of plants you put in your garden and where?
Over the years I have made many garden plans as it has developed from stage to stage. Plus with over 70 different rose varieties, I've tried to keep track of their names and just can't do it without that garden map. And yet with all that effort, there have been a few roses I've just lost track of.
Well, my garden map isn't pretty, but it's functional when I keep it up. And as the garden changes, it has to be updated, then redone - so I don't put time into making it pretty.
Just for fun, here's a pic of the west side of the garden from May 2011.
And from earlier this month.
There's been a lot of growing around here!

wow! I love your garden with all those gorgeous roses! I can't seem to grow them, did try planting a couple a few times but the roses got aphids and ended up pulling them out and into the bin!!!
Isn't magical when you see blooms in your garden? Your roses are beautiful and you have so many - WOW! I don't have a plan like you do because I don't have so many. I think I have about 15 total. I sure am thankful for every one of them:)
Love your layout of your garden.
love Annette
It's lovely to see your garden pre growing season and when it gets going/growing!
In my previous house and our first garden, I kept garden plans and notes. I had so many different plants on a small lot. With our current house I've become much more lax about doing up a plan though I still keep 'some' notes. I need to do better!
Your yard is just beautiful!! I try to keep track but always miss things.
...can't keep up with my stitching, linen, fibers, either! Great job, there! And lovely!
You have definately got green fingers, it's beautiful.
