Pitiful

That's what I call the progress I've made on my VS Retreat project.

Perhaps you are like me in that when I'm with a group of stitchers, like at the retreat, I lose the ability to count. Before the retreat I had the fabric marked off into the various panels and center lines gridded. That's as much as I could do. At the retreat Thea wanted us to get in the satin stitches for the drawn thread portion of the four panels.

No problem. Counted away, put in my stitches, pulled threads, only to discover later that the number of stiches wasn't quite right. But still not a big deal,  just an opportunity for making the design my own, lol.  Now as I've gone on stitching, I've found that the placement of the section is off as well.

So the creativity continues . . .

This looks good to me! I love the colors........I didn't get any stitching done this weekend either. I read alot.
But I'm hoping to plop in my stitching chair for a couple of hours before bed.

Don't feel bad von. I'm not much ahead of you, and I've actually been working on it! I'm such a slow stitcher....and I've had my own "design departures" to deal with, too.
It's such a beautiful piece...sigh...

But progress is progress! And I just love that variegated thread - is it a special limited one or one you can buy? Very pretty project!

I like what I see so far! I stitched with a friend today and found my progress wasn't as good as when I stitch alone. Plus I ended up frogging.

Love the colors! I never want to stitch when with a group. I just want to talk and visit.

It's very pretty Von. I stitch best when I'm on my own, I tend to get more done that way.

How well do I know that feeling! I had a major snafu yesterday myself. It's pretty and will be unique! How are your studies coming along?

Your work is just beautiful on this!! I sure wish I could go on one of those VS retreats! I bet you had so much fun! I have talked to Thea on Facebook and she is so nice. I bought Babe's Honey Farm but don't have fabric or threads yet.
