You Know It's March

when Mother Nature just can't decide what kind of weather to give you, so you get a little bit of almost everything. We had clouds, sunshine, wind, hail, rain, thunder, lightning. The snow fell in the higher elevations nearby, in fact, the main pass over the mountains was closed for awhile. A fun day.

My cupboards were growing bare from my lack of interest in grocery shopping. The situation became most dire this morning when I began to scrape the bottom of the coffee bean canister. I looked outside and saw nothing but clouds, and darker ones all around. Not only that, but the wind was blowing. Kirsten was pestering me about when we were going to the store, but I put her off saying that maybe after while the weather might look more promising. Lucky for me, wimp that I am, the sun did come out, wind still blowing. All around were black clouds. I made my move.

Kirsten and I arrived at Winco, finding a great parking space not too far from the front door just in case it started to rain while we were shopping. Gathered my things to exit the car and realized my wallet was not in my purse! We drove back home to collect my wallet and when we returned to Winco, the sun was still shining and I found a spot not too far from the first spot.

Forty-five minutes and $130 later we exited the store to find - the sun still shining! We bought lunch to go and share from Panda Express and arrived home in time to get all the groceries in before the clouds moved over us. Before long, the hail was pelting Kennewick.

I'm so glad I went out when I did. :)

Actually, we here could change your title to..You Know It's North Carolina! We've gone from 17 Tues. night to 79 in the day this weekend. One day we're 60, the next we're 40. No wonder everyone is catching the crud! But spring is coming, hang on!

Well the weather here in the U.K. really sucks most of the time but today, so far, it's sunny and lovely looking. Haven't been outside yet as my MS has decided to pay me a very big visit - look it's not welcome and so it can just go again. By the way I have left you an award on my blog and I should have written and told you but I was very lazy yesterday sorry but please go and accept it. Lots of Love Patti xxx

I actually went shopping twice in the same week without my wallet (about 2 weeks ago). That was a new one for me. Glad you caught the weather in a good mood and didn't get soaked or pelted with hail!

Hi Von, Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and the kind comments. I have been enjoying your blog as well! How old are your twins? Hope you continue to get good weather. We're supposed to be in the low 60's the next 2 days and I'm elated! Meredith http://merrystitching.blogspot.com/

Love your weather descriptions! I'm starting to get lonesome for home, my family and friends and then I read about the weather, give my head a shake and decide the weather in Arizona is just fine and I need to stay put! Thanks for the smiles!
