Trimming

After finishing Strawberries and Cream, I decided to make a kumihimo braid to trim it out. I'm using one skein of DMC 223 and 3363, curious to see just how long it will be. So far there's at least two feet. Progress has been slow the last two days as I've been going to bed early since I've caught another cold.
The other day I got to babysit my grandkids and you can see that Nana always provides a nutritious lunch - chicken nuggets! :D

We've been experiencing problems with a leaking dishwasher lately. DH discovered that it was coming from the center of the machine, not from a leaky gasket. When it reached the point that I was needing three towels to clean up during a cycle, I called the repair guy. The diagnosis? A hole in the bottom of the tub, which, praise God, has a lifetime warranty. A new tub has been ordered and in the meantime, DH filled the hole so I don't have to wash everything by hand.

In other exciting news, ds Kevin has invited a girl to the Winter Formal which is Saturday night. Monday we went shopping for a nice suit, which we found on sale at JC Penneys. The corsage has been ordered and I think we're just about ready for the big event!

As for tonight, it's going to be another early night for me - after I make pizza and a pan of cinnamon rolls for Sunday morning.

That braid is beautiful!! I'm definitely going to have to research the technique.

I hope you'll feel better! My cold has moved down into my chest and now I'm walking around with my inhaler - never the best sign. :(

And thank goodness you occassionally let your brood indulge in nuggets, too! I feel much less guilty! ;)

Don't read Omnivore's Dilemma if you want to continue to serve chicken nuggets.

Love the braid. Great colors!

What I woundn't give for a dishwasher - leaky or not! I seem to be the only dishwasher in our house!
