I ended my last post with the promise of a new project and here it is: Strawberries and Cream by Serendipity Designs. This little kit was a Christmas gift in 2007 from my smocking guild, each of our members receiving one. For February's meeting we're supposed to be working on it. When Laura brought up this project at our last meeting, I must admit I forgot all about receiving it! Luckily as I was clearing out a shelf in my neverending task of organizing my school/craft area, I found this kit at the very bottom - papers and workbooks stacked on top. You know what I'm really best at? Piling stuff up! :D
Anyway, I thought I'd get a bit of a jump start and see how much I can get stitched before our meeting next week on Thursday. Really I should be able to finish it entirely, it's pretty easy.
This evening Kirsten had a birthday party to attend, so I made up a quick card for the birthday girl. It's an overnighter, so we'll have a very quiet morning tomorrow. Melanie will probably leave early to work out and the boys may sleep in a little, then begin playing computer games. Of course, I'll have to interrupt the bliss for some chores.
This evening is my stamp club which I'm determined to attend as I've missed the last three months. Should have some more fun things to share with you later!
Have a great weekend!

How pretty the heart is! I have Cindy's heart design to still do...
Von, did I just read that right? You have 7 children?? Wow!
That's a really pretty kit, can't wait to see your finish.
Great card too. I still have the lovely Xmas card you made me in 2007 :-)
I love that design and you have a good start with it.
Lovely card too.
Happy Valentines's Day!

BTW, thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving a lovely comment. PS designs are very cheering and this one really lifted the spirits in a rather gloomy time.

Pretty project and card too.
