A Gentle Saturday

Oh my, what a nice weekend I had! Saturday was my day and I chose to get a jump start on Christmas card creation. Previously, I'd perused the Splitcoaststampers website for ideas and found some great cards using my new stamp set, Snow Swirled from Stampin'Up. Cutting paper, stamping, playing with color and glue, a little ribbon and some glitz makes for a fun, relaxing day.

I ended up not stitching at all unfortunately. But there will be lots of time for stitching this weekend when we're in Boise for Thanksgiving. We all ended the day in the living room watching that last several episodes of 24, season two.

On Sunday afternoon I prepared for our annual church Thanksgiving dinner for which I roasted one of the turkeys, and made gravy and stuffing. The turkey went in the oven before I left for church so that when I returned home, I had plenty of time for chopping all the little bits of giblets, onions, and celery for the dressing, carving up the bird and making ready to transport it all to church. What wonderful aromas wafted off the serving tables, filling the entire building and piquing everyone's appetite!

MMmmm, can't wait to do it all again Thursday!

Your cards are gorgeous, Von! And that roasted turkey sounds (and almost smells) delicious to me! I'll have to wait until Christmas though.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with your family.

These are beautiful! I was working on mine too. I may make two and chose either, or both. I made it last year, but made it too big so it was like a wedding invitation with stuff on both sides. If you want to exchange, let me know. : )
