Sneezing

Spring is making its presence felt, even if the spring weather has been very fickle this year. We've had quite a bit of wind and cool temperatures, but the weekend weather was glorious. Eighty degree afternoons, drew me outdoors to clean up flower beds and enjoy meals on the patio. Of course, Monday brought rain, a breeze, and a return of the cold. But whatever it is that I'm allergic to blossomed over the weekend and now I'm sneezing my head off. Time to pull out those meds again - thank the Lord for them!

Kevin and Kyle have been busily working on their Pinewood Derby cars for the race this Saturday. Today is Tax Day, so DH will be getting those forms in the mail at midnight. It's just a tradition for him to always wait till the last hour before mailing the return. Brendan is taking the math/science portion of the WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning) this week. Kirsten always is busy with one thing or another. Everyone has their projects.

As for me, Friday was stamp club night again and these were the result:

I also got a little bit of the garage cleaned on Saturday, just a little mind you, but at least I can walk around now! My laundry is pretty much caught up, now to do a bit of ironing. I've cleaned up my desk and a couple of shelves. So at last I can begin to get ready for . . .

Yes, I get to go to the Victoria Sampler Spring Retreat next week! Tuesday I'll be picking up Connie in Lacey, overnighting in Anacortes, then taking the ferry next morning through the San Juan Islands over to Vancouver Island. We'll have Wednesday afternoon and Thursday for touristy fun, then Friday the stitching begins in earnest. Thea has a wonderful project ready for us and I can't wait to begin.

In the meantime, I have some stitching supplies to organize and an exchange gift to make!!

I'm with you on the allergy thing - my eyes, throat, and nose are driving me crazy. When I was younger, I didn't have spring allergies, and for some reason, I now have them in the spring just as bad as I do in the fall. Yuck.

Sorry about the allergies, they affect my eyes...always running and itchy...

And those cards are just perfect Von...works of art!

I'm so jealous that you get to go to the VS retreat...but as much as you stitch their patterns, there isn't a more deserving girl then you! HURRAY! Can't wait to hear all about it :)

Such beautiful cards! Love them! Spring is wonderful-but the pollen is horrible, my blue car looks like a yellow one-lol. Have fun at your retreat.

I hope the allergies will soon be nothing but an unpleasant memory. Have fun with Connie at the retreat!!

Your cards are always so lovely. I think I like the mother's day card the best. And I am SO JEALOUS that you are going to a VS retreat. I've thought about it (and come close enough to talk to Lisa about it via email), but ended up not going. It's much closer for you then for me. :) Enjoy and you and Connie have a great time!

Ahh...hope you are better now. It's the pollen in general that is being spread around.
I swear you could be a designer for a card company-your cards are really clever.
Have a wonderful time with Connie!
