This week I've been concentrating on getting Rob's NRR finished as the mailing date is fast approaching. Rob has a seaside theme going on and my stash is sadly lacking in such motifs. But I was able to find a lighthouse on a bluff and I swapped out the little "shed" at the base for a house. More details on the designs will be posted when the block is finished. So far, I'm pretty happy with it, but more importantly, I hope Rob will be pleased.
The christening gown project has been set aside as I completed the smocking a few days ago. It hardly took any time at all as it's such a simple, simple, simple design. But as soon as Rob's rr is in the mail, I'll have to get the embroidery designs transferred so I can get going on that part. I can't tell you how much I've missed smocking!
Along with most of the country, we're in the middle of a cold snap. Now that we've had these frigid temps for about a week, I think I'm acclimating to it a bit. But only because we've had sunshine along with it. Somehow it feels a bit warmer. :)
I had a huge disappointment last evening when I was downloading the new update from Apple for my little ipod nano. After the download, the video screen was all messed up. My resident experts got involved, we did all the resets, etc. with no luck. So my son has loaned me the use of his old ipod (he has an itouch) until my nano is fixed or replaced. This morning I turned it on and the screen is working, but it messed up when transferring audio/podcasts. Argh!!! So I don't know. Maybe dh and I will have to stop at the Apple store when we go over to the west side next week.
Wishing you all a warm weekend!!
