Doing and Waiting

It's another gray day, but I must report with thankfulness that we enjoyed several mostly sunny days over the weekend! There is nothing that can take the place of the sun in lifting my mood.

With DH and the twins in Vancouver for the weekend (they logged 136 geocaches) and the sun shining into the house, I attacked the mess in my bedroom. Things weren't good in there before the holidays, then top it all off with stashing gifts and extra household stuff, it was in a state of emergency. Several bags of clothes are ready to donate, bags of garbage have been taken to the bin, shelves cleared, dust eradicated - it is a room to rest in once again.

With Epiphany over (not that we really celebrate it), I have begun to take down the Christmas trees. Other dejunking is taking place, going through my pile of magazines, and listing out more tasks that need to be done in the next few weeks. We have a particular home improvement project that really needs to be done, but in order to get to it, many other things must be done first. Getting all that sorted out is hurting my brain. :)

No news in the baby department, but surely baby will come this week! I really feel like I'm on standby, taking early to my bed just in case I get a phone call in the middle of the night.

With the efforts to clean and reorganize the house a bit, I haven't felt like I can sit and stitch. But that situation must change soon as I have a round robin mailing date coming soon, and a christening gown to sew.

With much to be done today, I will bid you all a good day and happy stitching!

Cleaning and purging is such a rewarding task, just hard to get started on it huh? Glad you’ve been able to get to it. We want to convert the “spare” bedroom into Curren’s room… but where will all of my stuff go? This will mean a lot of cleaning and purging and I’m not ready yet LOL! Mark says it has to go into our bedroom, he’s right. Just need to start organizing.

Best wishes to your daughter, I hope all goes will with her delivery, that is so exciting!

I have heard about geocaching, and it sounds like a lot of fun. 136 of them sounds like quite the exhausting treasure hunt!!

It's always good to go through things and do some purging. We need to do that again here soon :)

It sounds like grandma-to-be is doing her own nesting! Sending good thoughts for the safe and speedy arrival of the little one.
