A Beautiful Thing . . .

in a rough environment.

Thanks for all your positive comments about my ornament garland! Thought I'd take a minute to share a pic so you could see most of the garland.

The west end of the family room downstairs is my sewing/craft "studio". (Our house is a 60s ranch with a walkout basement.) One day I hope to take down the old paneling and install drywall and put in some nice recessed lighting. Oh yeah, and rewire the electrical panel! The family room is full of electronic equipment that wasn't even dreamed of in the 60s. Then my heater causes the breaker to flip - and I need my heater this time of year, lol! The power is available, but the panel needs to be tweaked.

But until then, at least I have my space. :)

I love the ornament garland. I make a lot out of the JCS magazines and they are kind of big for the tree. What a great way to display them and I might have to use your idea.

Something like that ornament garland would really be just the thing in our kitchen, where the cupboards stick out about 2 1/2 inches from the wall above them. I think you're supposed to display a plate collection or something up there, but of course I don't have such a thing ... not to mention how yucky something would get up there if it were out year-round (I can't even begin to reach way up there, even on a chair). A seasonal display, though, would be PERFECT! You are so clever!

This garland idea just looks amazing. I may have to try this next year. I don't really do a big tree but some lighted garland over my sliding glass door that isn't used in the winter would be perfect. I know what I'll be shopping for in the after Christmas sales.

Delightful way to display the ornies, Von. This way they really get seen without being lost on a tree amongst other ornaments. I love it!
