A Very Boy Weekend

Six boys, two computers, a television and a dvd player, pizza, Pepsi, cake, ice cream, flashlights, hiking and geocaching - mix them all together and you have an overnighter made for young teenage boys. Kevin and Kyle had a Caleb, Prescott, Karis, and Keith over for the bash and I just let them do pretty much what they wanted. They contained themselves well and still managed to have a great time together. Saturday morning DH took them all out to Bateman Island for a hike through the brush/geocaching, then to Costco for lunch. You can't beat Costco for a cheap lunch, lol!

The rest of the weekend was a blur of laundry, schoolwork correcting, dishes, ironing - but no stitching. I'm still deciding on a design for Debby's NRR as well as planning for a cross-stitch class for the AHG Pioneer/Patriots class I'm leading this week. That is in addition to my own class! But I have a wonderful assistant who will keep the girls on track and help with their questions while I'm in the other class.

Ahead for this week: oral surgeon appointment for ds Brendan, 30,000 mile check for the Expedition, and my church's annual women's retreat in Spokane!

Sounded like lots of fun for the boys. We do the geo-caching thing too. Its taken us to places we would never have thought of visiting. A great recreational pastime :)

Your boys are getting so big! Glad they had a good time with their pals this past weekend.
You do have a hectic week this week!
Thanks for stopping by and lending support, I sure needed it. Still a bit shook up, but trying to be optimistic. : )

oh, that did sound busy!! Oral surgeon as in wisdom teeth extraction? yikes. [My oldest son went thru that in August.] Spokane is very beautiful - I was there back in 1976 & enjoyed every second. Esp the downtown.
Enjoy : )

Maybe you can squeeze in a little stitching at the Women's retreat. Take care.
