The last couple of days have seen only minor progress on Acorns & Threads, so no more pics of that yet. My Wednesday after school hours have me teaching the Explorers group (ages 9-11) of the American Heritage Girls (kinda like Girl Scouts) at my church. The first badge that we're working this year is Needlearts! We've been practicing the cross stitch on plastic canvas for two weeks, and next week I plan to start a project on aida cloth. Following that, we'll be doing some traditional embroidery. It's quite a challenge for some of the girls to keep a needle threaded, but a few have some experience and are doing quite well. It's a great group of girls and we're going to have some fun this year!
Wednesday morning I did a little something for myself. Some of the papers that go with the kids' schoolwork are stored in binders. This year I found clear-view binders in storage and I slipped some of my patterned papers under the clear plastic cover. Now I have attractive binders on my desk, not boring white. :D

I'm trying to teach my girl scouts to stitch...hmmm...I may have to try that plastic canvas :)
Your binders are lovely :)
Lovely pics, Von! And that idea with the patterned paper/binders is brilliant!
Love your binders, Von! What a great idea to insert decorative paper. I'll have to keep that in mind.
I love what you did with the patterned paper and binders! I may have to borrow the idea.
What a great idea for the binders. I have some work and that would help jazz them up.
Beautiful binders and pictures, Von. I like to decorate everything, too!
Hugs,
Deb
