"Living the Good Life"

That is the title of the design that I adapted for dear Heather's Neighborhood RR. She requested a farm related theme and when I ran across this design in the Jan/Feb 1990 (ancient!) issue of Cross Stitch and Country Crafts, I knew it would be a delightful addition to this rr. I do hope Heather likes it as much as I do.

Originally, I wasn't going to include so much of the design, but as I went along I wanted to add the pond, the goat, and especially the boy flying the kite, and last of all that hill behind the field. Then there was all that backstitching, which can be a pain, but wasn't for me as it just made the whole scene come alive. With the extra time Cindy gave me, since she was on vacation, I kinda went crazy, lol. But now it's finished and on it's way to Cindy, and I can begin on Rowyn's!

I love that design!! Was that part of a three pane design in CSCC? I think between me and my Mum, we have about 10 years worth!

Very pretty finish!
