When you need to send a sympathy card, it's nice to have one ready to go. I hate to think about the number of times I've thought that I should send a card to someone, but because I didn't have anything appropriate on hand, it would take awhile before I could create something and get it in the mail. Recently, the need for sending sympathy cards has overwhelmed me. I mentioned this to my "supplier" the other day and she graciously loaned me a set of sympathy stamps. Not wanting to keep her set for too long, I'm working hard this week at making a good supply.
Awhile back someone asked how our new laundry system was working out. Said system is: each Paulson kid has a specific day of the week to wash his/her clothes/bedding. Well, the older three kids are performing less well than the three youngest; and Kirsten (9) is pretty much working with me to wash her laundry with mine. Kevin and Kyle, almost without fail, will wash at least one load on their day. Geoff, Melanie, and Brendan need reminders. This week I have not reminded anyone and Geoff and Melanie missed their day. Oh well. I do have much less laundry to do now and I'm still trying to figure out a new system for myself. It was so much easier, mentally, when I just did laundry every day!
This week my Expedition has been in the body shop again, someone having put a crack into the rear bumper thus needing a replacement bumper installed. I have no idea how or when or where it happened - argh!
Stitching has been put on the back burner this week, but have spent a little time at lunch on "Fine Linens". I'm hoping to have completed enough for an update pic in a day or two.

What a beautiful card Von! Your cards are all so stunning - you have some real talent :-)
Another gorgeous card Von - you're so talented with your card-making!
That's a beautiful and thoughtful idea, Von. Your card is gorgeous.
Thanks for the well-wishes, Von! They seem to have worked. ;)
Your laundry system is intriguing. I hope I can remember it when our kids are a little bit older.
Very smart thinking ahead, Von! I have bought several of these at a time and the kids wonder when they see them. But hubby is sure glad to pull one out for a work acquaintance when needed. Of course that doesn't compare to the beauty and elegance of something handmade like yours.
Your card is beautiful . Very clever to make these ahead of time. Sorry about your car. That is seriously annoying.
Your card is beautiful. You have inspired me to make some cards myself this weekend, not as beautiful as yours but some note cards which I seem to always need when sending gifts etc and always end up paying outrageous amounts for.
What a lovely card!
What a beautiful sympathy card you created! I hope that we'll see a progress photo of Fine Linens soon. :)
