Neato!
Look what I found at Costco yesterday!! This sturdy metal filing cart fits perfectly under my cutting table, yet will easily roll out when needed, replacing the metal storage cubes currently under the table. And it will hold all my paper. The other plastic file drawer was already full before I had filed all my cardstock. I do love my plastic storage carts - all six of them - but this cart is ideal for storing my paper. Click on the link, Wendy, to see a variety of carts that are available at any office supply store and sometimes Costco has a selection.
You all make me laugh at your comments about how organized I am. :D I dearly love organization, I know how to do it . . . but my follow through is very lousy. However, I do have pockets of success in my home that I'm hoping to slowly build on. Since my kitchen remodel three years ago, I've been able to keep that room pretty well organized. It's just that clutter is such a constant infiltrator and I sometimes weary of the fight.
Last night DH and I attended a dinner hosted by a sweet girl in our church who is raising funds for a choir tour. The food was scrumptious with lovely entertainment making for a delightful time. After dinner we went with another couple to the Ivory Jazz, a great place in old downtown Kennewick serving appetizers, beer, and wine with some terrific live jazz bands. Last night was a local group featuring a sax/clarinet player who travels in some high-level jazz circles, then comes home to quiet Kennewick to recharge. The pianist is a kid from the local community college who was truly an amazing talent. Can't leave out the bass and drummer who were great as well. This was our first visit to Ivory Jazz, but we'll definitely be going back!

I'd be happy for any areas of organization! LOL!!
I can't imagine how you manage to keep organised at all, with all your children running around! Or are they all well-trained and tidy?
Have a nice weekend!
Oh, they are so NOT tidy . . . thus adding to the weariness! I'll keep at the attempts at training, and will perhaps see some fruit when they're training their own kids. Mystie's doing well at this so far, but then there are only two very compliant boys so far. :D
Yup! Cluster is a constant infiltrator! I love this formula!...
Take care, Von!
Pissed off Lili (lol!)
I like organization too and I'm kind of a "neat" freak, although lately you wouldn't believe either of those statements if you could see my house.
I am constantly looking for better ways to organize things and my favorite word is "simplicity".
Today I need to tackle the dining room table - it is a disaster!
Von, I love those filing carts, see-thru plastic boxes and all the goodies associated with organization. Like you, because I have more storage room,my kitchen stays pretty neat. That's a lot different than it was a year ago! I want to make a craft room in the basement, yet I have a living room we don't sit in. I should really do something in there, I'm at the dining room table anyway (L-shaped into LR).
Glad you had a nice dinner. I'm a bit wonky with my tummy this weekend, but I do have a turkey breast that is finished.
I get my sewing room organised, then ook for anything and it is a mess in 5 minutes - makes me wonder if I sorted it right in the first place!! You have fantastic storage recepticles there Von and glad to hear the kids are feeining better too.
Keep going with your LInen piece, it is looking gorgeous.
I gave up to being organized especially in the living room with mostly of Chris play things, we've even threatened to throw them all and it did help for a day or two!
Have a nice week.
Your cart fitting under the desk is perfect! Its so great to find something that works so well for you. I've becoming surprisingly more organized once the kids started leaving home. Why couldn't I have been like this years ago?
I love your cart!! It's the perfect fit. Lucky to have found something like that.
Oh Von, you sound just like me - you know and subscribe to all the theory, but struggle to put it into practise, huh? I even find it easy to advise others to do the right thing, but fight myself over it...
Anyway, I'm getting through my pile of stuff, but slowly. More of that on my blog, which I'll just go and update...]
E=)
what a neat cart Von. I'm in the process of a whole reorganisation in my office at work and boy, does it feel good to have a declutter -very good for the soul :)
Great cart and even greater ...you have somewhere to keep it :) Glad you had a good night out and by the way I think your cards are fab that you have been sending out...well done! Oh yes, you are the only person who got my Pun the other day...lol, I'd wondered if anybody would!
