Yes, the sawing continued today, and it's my birthday, but I didn't really mind it too much. It all sounds like sweet progress towards a more comfortable house we can all enjoy! At breakfast this morning the kids brought their gift for me to open - a new handbag that I had admired not long ago. Yay, I really love it! My DH has something for me and has had it for quite a long time. I suppose I'll find out what it is at dinner tonight - he's been torturing me for weeks!
At lunchtime dd Kirsten went swimming for a couple of hours with a neighbor, so I went out to get my nails done and buy a few groceries. When I returned the workmen were just packing up for the day and my dd Mystie was there to pick up the twins for a summer writing class she's teaching for a group of church kids. I was watering the plants and new sod around the house when my dear friend, Joyce, and her dd and dgs came by to see what we've been doing and enjoy a glass of iced tea on this beautiful afternoon. And that's about it to this point. Just a lovely day. :) I only wish my house was in a better state so I could get out some stitching, but there's just too much dust I have yet to clean up.
Tomorrow they'll put the wood framing on the inside, install the screens on the two basement sliders and be done! Then I can get to cleaning up the dust and prepare for the next group of workmen to come visit me on Monday - the heating and air conditioning people!
