was Mystie's birthday, today must be our wedding anniversary! Yep, 27 happy years together. It's hard to believe that I'm old enough to have been married that long! We'll try out a new restaurant this evening and maybe take in a movie. I'll buy pizza tonight for the kids to keep them happy - Friday is always pizza night. I usually make it myself with freshly ground whole wheat flour to try to inject a little nutrition, but they'll not complain about Papa Murphy's. :)
The skies are gray and we've had several rain showers this morning. It would be perfect to get out and pull weeds later, but I'm just not going to have the time. I hate not being able to take advantage of the cool temperatures and softened soil God has given for a short time! Maybe it'll just rain all day and I won't feel so bad - ha! Not likely!

We're having thunderstorms here, Von. 5 power outages in the past hour or so and the storm is still rumbling. It looks like our whole weekend will be like this, but hey, if I can get out to do some weeding, I won't have to pull very hard with the soakings we've been getting! ;)

What a coincidence about weeding as i've been almost the whole afternoon at the garden for that, the first time weather's dry and no winds though still cool.

We usually get carry-outs EVERY Friday. The boys prefer pizza. I always enjoy the cooks night off.
Tonight, DH, DD, & youngest Son are visiting their grandmother in Illinois. Nick started his new job tonight & I am his driver. So nice to have the house to myself for an hour ... and catch up on some kewl blogs : )

I think I'll heat a pizza tonight as well (saturday). My DH is not home (with buddies and a buddy about to marry: I hate those "burials"). We'll try to spend a good evening, the kids and I, anyway. It's never the same without our men, isn't it?
Happy anniversary! I met y husband when I was 20, and we married in 1992... Still a couple or two of years to reach our own 27th... The events and difficult things to go through give a true meaning to every year passed together, every difficulty has made us stronger, and closer. I'm sure it's the same for you.
