A Hot New Week

The entire Pacific Northwest is suffering under a huge heat wave affecting not only us east of the Cascade Mtns., but also the poor souls on the west, who do not generally tolerate temperatures above 90 degrees F. Well, even they are hitting the 100 degree mark.

This morning the HVAC guys came to take a look at what the job entails and left none too happy. Lots of the work will be done in the attic and with our hip -style roof, that makes things a little tight, as well as extremely hot on a good day and torturous in a heat wave. So they'll be starting work tomorrow at 6 a.m. and probably knocking off about 10 a.m. In the meantime, I have more shelves and closets to empty to give the workmen room.

The picture is of my pot at the front walkway. This was taken about three weeks ago, and now the plants are quite a bit larger, so I should take an updated one. My new back yard appears to be well established now and needs to be mowed, perhaps tomorrow morning before the heat sets in on us!

A heat wave-wow! I'll have to see if my friend in Renton is feeling it.
Glad to hear things are winding down for you with the remodeling and landscaping. I keep seeing things I'd like to do on HGtv-darn them!
Thanks for the well wishes-still watching for the damn to break-still a little wet, but more rain is coming.

Wow! I heard about your heat and am so jealous. I wish we'd just dry out already! We've had 12 inches of rain in the last two days. I'll trade you?

Hi Von, your pot of flowers are so beautiful. I wish some of the rains comes your way as we have more than enough at the moment.
