Hitting the Books

No, I'm not going back to school - just packing away some of our books that have been shelved in the computer room for awhile. When the HVAC guys begin work - looks like it'll be on Thursday now - they'll be installing ductwork over the shelves so we're trying to empty out that little area. It's good to go through this process every now and then as that protective layer of dust the books accumulate needs to be removed and some of the books culled through. The kids' computer room is not an area I care to spend much time in so clean up there is very much hit and miss. (Note to dh: None of your books are mysteriously missing - don't worry. However, it might be good for you to go through them yourself, keeping only what you need!)

My garbage can is just about full and won't be emptied until Friday! I'm also going to start having boys haul out some old furniture in anticipation of a dumpster arriving sometime in the near future. I see that the Flylady website is having their June Super Fling Boogie and I'm in the mood to fling!

P.S. No stash will be harmed or disposed of in the Great Family Room Renovation!

Von, I am a "flybaby," too! I make my family laugh when I talk about doing a super fling boogie, but it is so good for the soul, is in not? Good for you on getting organized. :)

I am trying to stay out of the way. I fear that books I will never read again will be thrown away. I have a hard time parting with a book unless it is an outdated computer reference. Books are like friends, they are always there for you and when you happen to see one again, even just in passing, they remind you of days gone by.

I dare not look in the trash bin to see what my dw is tossing....

Hi Von,
I am not doing much posting at the moment with the whole vacation- passport thing going on but I am reading about and enjoying your postings about your renovations. Id I was a home I would be "flinging " along with you- but NO books or stash :-)

Oh dearie! I completely slept through your birthday! I'm so sorry. Is it too late to wish you a happy belated birthday? I'm only just starting to catch up with blog-reading.
Sounds like you had a succesful clean-up. You wouldn't happen to be in my neighbourhood any time soon, would you?

I have 17 computer books next to my laptop - belonging to DH. Never mind the magazines tucked in, too. What is it with dudes & their books????

Youngest DS grabbed the snowshovel from the garage & said he was heading to his room. LOL. He comes up with the funniest stuff at times. (his room looks no better)

Delighted you have your priorities -- no stash disposal :D

Von ... you make me laugh every day
