Green Green Grass

The landscaping crew did arrive this morning. It really was perfect weather for laying sod - we had rain last night, it drizzled as they installed the sod, and now that everything is all cleaned up we're having a very nice rain shower.

I'm just amazed by the green grass! We haven't had a lawn back there in four years. Our neighbors must be almost as happy as we are, lol!

When the landscapers are finished, the work begins for us. I'm formulating plans for beautifying our side of the fences, irrigation lines have to be run, plants bought and planted. The planting will have to be little by little though as our budget for house projects will be pretty much gone after the windows and hvac are installed, and the family room is redone.

Nice grass - it really helps to pull things together! I will be happy to send you some iris rhizomes in the fall from my garden - I can't send before then, per gardening rules. It is not safe for the plant to dig while blooming or too soon after, but once fall comes I would love to give you some :-)

Oh Von! The grass is just gorgeous!!! The backyard is looking so good now, by the time you get all your plants in it will be like Eden, and not east of it either!! Beautiful work!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I will post a bit after we get back from dinner at Olive Garden! I finished Wisemen Came, so I will post a picture. I am in a quandry as to what to pick up next...hmmmm, decisions, decisions!

My goodness you are having lots of work done! It's coming along though and I'm sure it will be just wonderful when it's all finished :)

Amazing! Lovely shape for the grass!
I am wondering: it is not sewn in your garden, is it? That would be too fast. Is it a layer just installed and pre-grown or something?
Hugs!
