Earplugs, Anyone?

The sound of the sawzall and the cement cutter is resounding throughout the house. We took a small break from the chaos for lunch at McDonald's, but lunch is over and the work continues. Here you can see my sink window has finally been cut and pried out of its place and the workmen putting up framing around the bedroom and bathroom windows. I'm very grateful that they were able to remove the kitchen window without damaging the wood sill that matches my cabinets!

Here is the newly installed window with perfectly clear glass; unlike the old foggy ones! How wonderful to be able to see clearly out these new windows. They also seem to cut quite a bit of outside noise as well.

Well, I'm going to go back to my hiding spot in the laundry room. This seems to be an opportunity ordained from on high for me to catch up on my laundry, lol!

The difference is CLEAR! lol... And the flowers you added on the pic are lovely too!
I have always considered noise as a pollution... But it will be for the better, Von! Or at least, great for laundry! lol!
Take care!!

Hi Von! I was thrilled to see a comment from you on my blog ;) I've been following yours for some time now, it's one of my favourites. You have a beautiful family and I adore seeing all your "projects" - home and garden and stitching and everything else. :) Great window!

I hate such projects in my house, though the result is usually worth the effort. but the noise and mess... good luck!

it is very nice to read about your daughter's graduation. another big step in her (and your) life. and a moment to celebrate. congratulations!
