The bright spot I kept thinking about was that on Saturday, DH and I would be leaving home for 3-1/2 days away to Lake Chelan for the annual Professional Insurance Agents convention. One of the companies is hosting us in a condo a few miles out of the town of Chelan, and I'm really hoping to be able to rest and recuperate from this cold - and do some stitching and hopefully blog reading.
My rose bushes are beginning to bloom and I'm enjoying a stroll through the rose garden each morning to see what's new. Here is one of the first buds to bloom this spring.
I'm off now to finish packing. Hope I find an internet connection up there so I can catch up with everyone. Have a wonderful weekend!

Your roses are lovely! Mine are being stubborn about opening. We have had chilly temps with the 80s expected in a few days. The wind has been awful this year. We just don't have wind like this near Philly.

It is the same here in NE--HOT already--yuck!!!! I know I should love summer, and I would, but I hate the humidity and excessive heat! Hope you had fun in Lake Chelan--looks lovely!
