Spring!

The first day of spring is today. The sun is shining and the temperature is supposed to be 60 degrees - a perfect early spring day. Maybe later I'll get out to my rose garden and start clearing away the leaves that have blown in and around the plants, do a little trimming, and start planning for the next batch of roses to plant. Saturday, DH and the twins did a little clean up in the back. Drawings need to be made for that project, then hire someone to come in and do the groundwork, literally, lol! DH and I can handle the rest ourselves; there's not much to laying pavers and getting plant material into the ground. It'll be fantastic to bbq and have friends and family over when it's all done!

The weekend is over and I don't see much in the way of improvement here at home, inside at least. However, my laundry baskets are fairly empty, so I've caught up the laundry - as much as I can with 8 people in the house. My youngest, Kirsten, felt rather poorly on Sunday so the two of us missed church. She was running a low grade fever, and still is actually, but she feels much better today. So I was able to get in a little more stitching, but also did a little Googling. I'm looking for a wall fountain for my patio out back and haven't found exactly what I want, but I keep looking. I also found some good pages - finally - on a skin rash one of my twins has been battling. We've already done everything suggested, except go to the dermatologist. It seems to be coming under control, so will hold off making that appointment a little while longer.

For the Stitchathon this weekend, I was working on "P" again. I'm glad I took a before picture so I could see what I actually accomplished.

Now to get back to those Shepherd's Bush ornaments! Connie has far surpassed me now and I have to try to catch up at least.

Von, I really love the colors you're using for your "P!" I am starting to think I may have to stitch a "T" for my house!

An almost empty laundry basket? Ooh, I'm envious!!! :)

Von- What is the name of this color again- honey something? I must put this on my "to buy" list for when we are in CA this summer. Do post a pic of your rose garden when it gets a little further along.

You made great progress on the letter P! Could you send some of that 60 degree weather our way - please?

It is really cold here in Indiana. We may have snow flurries (again). Your "P" is moving along -- the colors are wonderful.

Our Alex is home with a chest rattle. Dimetapp to the rescue. He has a music field trip tomorrow & he cannot even talk today. Sigh. Just how it goes at times.

What a great lot of progress you made!

Glad spring is on its way. I hope it won't be much longer here, either!

It's always strange for me to think of Spring there when it is Autumn (my favourite season) here:)

I love the look of your P, Von! Thanks for the before and after picture.
So your laundry basket's half empty. Or is half full? Still, I'm sure it's emptier than mine!
Hope your daughter's feeling better!

I hope your DD feels better soon. What a lot of stitching you got in over the weekend. It looks amazing.

You are just going gang-busters on stitching the 'P'! I am enjoying watching your progress...

I wish some warmer weather would show up here! I have the cleaning of the leaves and stuff to do also, but, it's going to have to get warmer than 40!!

And... I have the Mommy Wars here too... DD and I are in one right now! :::sigh::: She thinks she is old enough to do whatever she wants -- at 16, I don't think so!!

Hugs and stitches...

Love the 'P' Von, and that thread is gorgeous.

It'a good feeling to have an emply laundry basket. I have just finished my ironing too.... and it is cool here today. Autumn is upon us and the rain is just starting too.

Ooh, Von you made a huge progress on your "P" during the SAT - it's looking great! Isn't it funny, while you're soaking up the rise in temperatures with spring on its way, I was driving down the road today marvelling at how the trees are starting to turn into their autumn colours :D
