A Little Weekend Fun

Here's what I had in my little stash bag from the Needlework Studio in Boise:
Three pieces of linen, one Belfast, two Cashel
The threads on the right, not on sale
The threads on the left, all on sale!!
I also bought some needles, a ring to put floss bags on, and

Spot of Summer (Drawn Thread), and Bee Mine Wabbit (Sheepish Designs) which was in the 50% off basket. I just love the ribbon finish on the little heart!

It was very hard to choose which skeins of floss to buy off of the sale table - I wanted to just take it all. Finally I narrowed it down to some of my favorite colors and got out of the store before my reason left me! Later I was able to get in a couple hours of stitching and here is my progress on "P". This alphabet series is lots of fun to stitch and is so adaptable for every stitcher's taste and inclination. So if you've been thinking of stitching one - go for it!

Tonight I need to get back and finish the Star of Wonder ornament and then prepare for my SAL with Jenna which begins on March 1!

What a great stash haul. I have been eyeing the M designs alphabets, but due to storage restraints, I'll have to put off buying new patterns.

What do you do while you stitch? I can't do handiwork unless I have something to watch or listen to - or I go out of my mind!

Great stash! We never see threads on sale in France, and apart from DMC and -sometimes- Anchor, there's nothing special either! France is very very "late" as far as cross stitch is concerned. Not many addicts? I don't think so, though. Wonder why, really.
Your P letter looks very beautiful: love the thread -and the design...
Thanks for your kindest comment on my blog, Von.
Take care!

Sigh... I can't imagine being able to just go into an LNS and find all these wonderful goodies. Well done, Von! The ribbon finish of the Wabbit series is great, isn't it? I had to ask Su for advice on how to do it, though!

I'm so excited for your LNS treasures!! WOW! I went to a craft fair this weekend and although nothing was on sale, it was such a thrill to actually see these charts in person and see the fibers for real! (I do everything via ONS.)

Wow, you get better stash on sale than I can buy at regular price here. Are the lovely skeins of floss in the from AVAS ? Peacock Cypher is the first thing I have stitched using it , but certainly not the last.

OK, I'm very jealous - nobody here EVER has threads on sale {pouting} :( That's why I now wait until SB&B has a 25% off sale and stock up (especially as overdyeds are about 50% of what we pay normally in Aussie anyway) - your stash haul looks absolutely stunning! :D And absolutely scrummy colours :D
