Comments Please!

Today's SBQ was suggested by Heather
(http://www.stitchsci.blogspot.com/) and is:

Comment on your comments (giving and recieving): Do you love comments
or hate them? Do you check them every day, never check them, or find
them helpful? And finally, are you convinced no one is reading your
blog if you don't get any?

I believe it's quite universal that we bloggers love our comments, especially on the receiving end! This was a benefit I didn't really consider when I first began, but I quickly began to feel the power of an encouraging word from fellow stitchers - from around the world! Receiving comments encouraged me to leave more comments on others' blogs, that there's no need to feel shy. My comments are emailed to me so I get them right away every time I check my mail. And if I have an entry that no one responds to, well, that's o.k. You can't have a winner every time! Lol!

The arctic blast still has a hold on E. Washington. With the wind chill factor our temps were close to zero all day. If you're inside looking out - you would think it's a glorious winter day. Take one step out the door and your skin is stinging from the cold blast of air. Guess the humidity levels are extremely low and that causes the sting. For the weekend, we should still have sun and low temperatures, but the wind should die down.

The camping expedition is still on. We figure that if we're not having any fun, we'll just come home - it's only fifty miles! So I did some grocery shopping today and refilled the trailer cupboards, making sure we have hot cocoa mix - the most important item for my kids on a cold day!

Oh Von, the artic blast snuck in on New England today too - and it will stick with us all weekend and barely warm up much next week either... just think, winter only has about another month for us now :-)

Von - I hope you are enjoying a fun weekend of camping. I also hope that the weather cooperated for you. We had some subzero temperatures here for a few days too, but its finally warmed up again.

I'm sure you'll have a blast camping - we hired a campervan once for a week and drove to a different skifield every day in the South Island of NZ, and had a great time ... admittedly, though, the weather was still probably a bit warmer than yours ;) I loved snuggling up in that camper with a mug of mulled wine and looking at the snow outside, while we were all toasty inside :)

Hi Von, hope you have a great trip and I wish I could send a little warmth your way as we sure have enough of it here in NZ at the moment!
