A Little Haul

I love Hardanger embroidery, but it's been a long time since I've done any. In a Nordic Needle email the other day, they had a few Wendy KC Designs on sale and on a whim I put in a quick order and it arrived quickly too!

So here's what I got:

One-half yard of 32 ct. Vintage Country Mocha. It's a classic fabric that I have never had in my stash!

Next is "Flowers of Spring". It's a little Hardanger heart needlecase that doesn't look too difficult and might actually work up pretty fast. I ordered some of the supplies I need for it:

Then I got one of these:

This little pattern holder looks perfect for holding my patterns in a better position when I'm using my magnifier light upstairs and not my big Ott light in the basement that has a pattern holder on it. I'm excited to give it a try - hopefully tonight!

I'm feeling much better and we had a wonderful weekend with our Boise family that came up to visit. The great aunties got their baby fix with Gideon and Isaac, as well as an afternoon with our Winckler grandchildren, and visits with all their nieces and nephews! There's always a lot of laughter and we had a blast watching the Oscars together Sunday evening. Of course, good times are always over too quickly.

Of course, I'm way behind on my blog reading and I hope to catch up this week. But I also need to get caught up on the laundry and get some stitching done too!

Hope you are keeping up better than I am!! Have a great stitchy week!

Glad you had such a great week-end. Blogs will always be there. You new project looks challenging. I have never done that kind of needlework.

Lovely stuff. Love Wendy's designs. I did her Spring Morning and Kathleen's dream. I have her strawberry designs, but haven't done them yet. Happy Stitching.

Looks like you got some lovely things to add to your stash, Von! It's always amazing how a little "stash enhancement" can brighten our day, isn't it?

Since I'm officially on a stash diet, I have to live vicariously through other people's stash acquisitions hehe. LOVE that little hardanger needle case. I have two of those pattern holders and I use them all of the time. They are super handy. :)

Vintage Country Mocha is a great fabric and I love the colour variations very much.
How has the Hardanger stitching been going? Did you get back into it easily?
