WIP Wednesday

As you might imagine, with all the activity of the Labor Day weekend, I didn't really get much accomplished on the little projects I took along to Boise. But during the quiet mornings, I did pull out the project box and made a start on the Lizzie Kate.

Grateful, Thankful, Blessed - Lizzie Kate
The other little project is actually a Drawn Thread design, so you know it's not just a straight cross stitch piece. I love DT designs, but they usually require a little more attention. So I got started on the border and completed the four-sided stitch heart. Luckily all the diagrams for the embroidery stitches are on the chart.

All You Need Is Love - Drawn Thread
This is stitched on 32 ct. Lavender Mist linen that was included with the little kit. Also inside the kit was a card from the Button & Needlework Boutique in Victoria, B.C. so I obviously got it at a Victoria Sampler retreat I attended years back!

And on September of the Joyful World SAL, I have finally started the owls, but not gotten far. Hopefully by the time the October comes out, this one will be finished - crossed fingers!

September - Joyful World SAL

I hope you are having a good week! We actually had rain yesterday morning and looks like a few days of moderate temps to come!

Lovely projects you are working on.
The Drawn Thread always has specialty stitches in their designs and they are all very interesting to stitch. Looking forward to seeing more of your DT project.
