Stitching and Downton

This week I've spent the evenings making progress on Maja's SAL for this year and watching seasons 1 and 2 of Downton Abbey on my Kindle Fire. A pretty nice combination for gray winter evenings!

This morning we are getting a little sunshine break while another storm system is approaching the coast and will get to us this weekend. But most of the rain will have fallen before it gets here and we'll just get the remnants. Because of all the storms we've had, the mountains around us have better than average snow pack, and the irrigators and skiers are very happy!

Tonight is my Bunco night, so stitching time will be limited. Maybe I'll just make a quick dinner of scrambled eggs and get in a few stitches before the game. And speaking of games, congratulations to Alabama football fans and the team for winning the National Championship! That was a great game and everyone involved should be proud of their efforts.

You've made lovely progress on January! It's looking beautiful. I have been watching Downton season 6 that is currently playing. I love this show and actually I ordered a set of a few days ago of Gay Ann Rogers geometric designs she did. I can't wait to get them. Have fun at Bunco and Good Luck! love Annette

Hope you're having fun at Bunco. Love seeing your stitching. I caught up on the first 2 episodes of this season...I lost interest last year, but the clothing is so beautiful.
I enjoyed the first 2 episodes. Happy stitching.

Ah--two of my favorite things! Stitching and watching Downton Abbey :) I still have to watch Season Five before I begin Six. I've been kind of "saving" it as I don't want the series to end!

What a pretty little stitch!! My son was delighted about the game! Yes, the rain has started here. We are doing a stay-at-home project this week-end.

I have seen this pattern around. It is so cute. I may have to do it one of these days. You did a beautiful job on it.

Ahhhh Downton Abbey. Have the series on DVDs and my daughter has picked up the very last one for me. Great stitching time too. Loving the wee one you are stitching now too.

You are so right - stitching on this lovely SAL while watching Downton Abbey is a wonderful combination, something to make us feel happy. I hope the storm wasn't too bad. We also had a heavy snow storm last Friday which dumped 20" of snow on us within 12 hours. So NOT what I like. And it even wasn't good for my stitching because I spent hours and hours outside shoveling snow.
