Koko Loko

A garden is never really finished, is it? My rose garden and borders are full, but there always seems to be a gap that develops just big enough for me to pop in another rose that takes my fancy. Last fall I moved one poor performer out behind my fence (where it bloomed wildly this year!) and in its place I planted Koko Loko which I found at a local nursery.

Introduced by Weeks Roses, Koko Loko starts out with a creamy latte coloring, which turns to lavender as it ages.

I planted her close to the patio seating area so I could enjoy watching the color changes when relaxing out back. Unfortunately, Koko Loko does not have much fragrance, but the unusual coloring makes up for that. There are many other roses in the garden that are fragrant!

There are other additions to the garden this year, but with the new job I didn't get out much to take pictures. Perhaps there will be a fall flush of color so that I can catch up!
