Rain . . . all day. Doesn't happen much here.
So with an empty agenda and the twins home from college for the long weekend, I sat in my stitching chair, turned on the East/West football game and brought out Drawn Thread's The Cloister Garden.
I finished Area 3, thyme for courage. Queen stitches in the center of the basket, always a challenge, but not too bad once the rhythm is established.
It feels good to make some progress on a long-standing project!

The best way to spend a nasty rainy day!
It was overcast all day here and cold! We both stitched the gloom away:) Lovely progress and very pretty sampler. love Annette
Very pretty!! And, what a great way to spend the day!
I stitched this entire series a while back and had such a good time! Small enough to be quick but with lots of interesting stitches. I know most people don't like Queens but I don't mind them since so few of the pieces I stitch now call for them. Good for you for tackling them and they look marvelous!!
We're having that rain here today so I hope to spend the day in my stitching chair too!! Laura
Pretty project!
You are doing great on that piece. That's what a rainy day is good for!
It's raining buckets here.
Coming along beautifully.
Here's been raining for days too but not much in the mood for stitching.
Drawn Thread always has such pretty colors and look so delicate.
Oh so great to see one of DT's gardens on a blog. I have only stitched Alpine Garden so far, the others are still in my stash. Very lovely progress on your Cloister Garden.
I just love those Drawn Thread garden designs--beautiful work :)
Cloister Garden is so pretty. What a great way to spend a rainy day.
