And Breathe

I'm enjoying a bit of hibernation  this New Year's week.  With lots of football bowl games to watch and leftover bones from Christmas dinner to make stock from, nothing on my calender, and frigid temperatures outside, this qualifies as my favorite week of the year. November and December are so busy with holiday activities, I really need this week to destress and gear up for all that God has for me in the New Year.

2014 was a good year. My stitching took a back seat to other things, mainly family activities and gardening. I have a feeling 2015 will be similar as we have another son getting married in July, a daughter graduating high school in June, and there are several new rose varieties out there that are calling out, "You need me!"

As for stitching goals for the New Year, I'm going to leave it loose and just plan on whittling down my WIPs. For my garden, I plan to add a few new roses to my collection and get set to host another rehearsal dinner there. As always house projects need to be done, and I really should use my sewing machine more often. And I'd like to take the trailer out for a few more camping trips next year.

Ready or not, here we go into a New Year!

Oh, Von, I had to laugh. Of Course you need more roses for your garden!!!

Lovely stitching and I hope you get more time to stitch next year!

Happy New Year! (I'm staying in where it's nice and warm, with bubbly chilling in the fridge!)

I have a very ambitious stitching year planned AND a wedding in April. Maybe not too smart a plan??!! Looks like your plan might be the wiser way! Laura

Oh Von, your stitching in 2014 was gorgeous, these projects are all so beautiful. And I'm sure the new year will bring just as exciting stitching projects.
Good luck with all your plans and goals and have a happy and healthy New Year!
