We've had our snow event for the winter. The kids had a late start on Wednesday. If it hadn't been the first day of semester finals, I think they would have canceled. The snow and freezing rain kept coming and they got Thursday and Friday off. Messed up their schedule anyway. As for me, I grabbed the opportunity to have a couple of stitching days.
What project to work on?? There are so many WIPs to choose from. Finally, I decided to work on VS Happy Hearts sweets bag from the retreat a couple of years ago. It hasn't come out to play for a very long time, so thought I should give it a little attention.
After working a little while, I remembered why I had set it aside - the design placement on my fabric is a little off from the chart. One thing I find very difficult to do in a room full of friends is count. And so I decided to embrace the difference and keep on going. Once the panel is sewn together with the others, it will not matter at all.
This week things should get back to normal. There is still snow on the ground, but it should be melting soon. Normal will now include a little bit of stitching most days, even if just for a few stitches. I've determined to leave this project out, finish this panel, then bring out another wip. Wonder what the next one will be. Like I said, I have a lot to choose from.

What a sweet project! And your stitching is lovely.
Congratulations on getting some stitching into your busy schedule - and I love "embracing the difference"! :)
Oh, good for you Von! I'm resolving to stitch more this year too, and am starting out slow and small before getting out some of Thea's WIPs. They are so beautiful, and just crying out to be finished, eh?
You sound determined to get some YOU time in! I must do the same and get my paint brushes out! I had too many people home last week bugging me to get to my own hoopla LOL!
Nice to see your stitching again Von! This is a great project.
I love a good snow day for this very reason.
The snow looks so pretty! I have always really liked that pattern with the women stitching! Looks great!
Your stitching is lovely and the colors are so pretty.
